Music at Light of Christ
The Light of Christ Music Ministry is led by Peteria Cochran, Director of Music. Music is a valued part of our ministry at Light of Christ, and there are many opportunities for participation.
ADULT CHOIR
The Adult Choir is open to all from confirmation age students to adults. The Adult Choir, which sings a wide variety of music, welcomes you to join them on Wednesday nights from 7:30-8:30 p.m. They sing for worship two or more times each month.
PRAISE TEAM
Praise Team is a contemporary music group, including singers, guitars, bass, and percussion. They provide musical leadership for worship once a month.
JUNIOR CHOIR
The Junior Choir is for children in grades 4-6. They practice on Sunday mornings during the 9:30 a.m. Faith Formation hour. The Junior Choir sings for worship one service each month.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR
Children's Choir, for chilcren in preschool through 3rd grade, meets Sunday mornings during the 9:30 a.m. Faith Formation hour. They sing for worship one service a month.
SPECIAL MUSIC
If you are a singer or an instrumentalist and would like to use your talents to enhance our worship services, please contact Peteria Cochran. There are many possibilities: playing your instrument during offering, playing hymn descants, singing a solo, or accompanying a choir.
WORSHIP & MUSIC COMMITTEE
This committee meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Committee membership is a great way for non-musicians and musicians alike to be actively involved in the Music Ministry at Light of Christ.
