Mission Committee
The Mission Committee directs the mission efforts of the congregation, helping us to Reach Out with the Love and Light of Christ. In addition to regular contributions to ELCA benevolences, and Green Lake Camp, we also have special 5th Sunday Offerings designated for various mission projects.
Recent 5th Sunday offerings have gone to Anna Marie's Alliance women's shelter, Delano Food Shelf, Love INC-Heartland, Feeding Children International, Caring and Sharing Hands, and world hunger relief.
The Mission Committee also maintains a relationship with our companion church, Nyanya Lutheran Church in Abuja, Nigeria.
Light of Christ is a founding affiliate of Love In the Name of Christ-Heartland (Love INC). This is a ministry that networks the efforts of 23 area churches in 11 communities. For more Love INC information, go to www.LoveINCHeartland.org. |
