Befriender Ministry
Befrienders are specially-trained lay people who provide support and care to people in times of need and transition. Life transitions may include: relocating and being new to the congregation or community, getting married, going through a divorce, unemployment or job loss, having a long-term or terminal illness, or the death of a loved one.
Whatever the situation, Befrienders walk alongside the Friend, listening and supporting, but not "fixing." Befriending relationships can vary in time from one or two conversations to a regular visit for several months, or even years.
If you would like the support and friendship that comes from having a personal Befriender, contact Pastor Lee at 763-972-2400 or email pastorlochrist@frontiernet.net. |
