Serve in Worship

Assist by handing out bulletins with a warm welcome to everyone attending.  Ushers will help find seating as needed, distribute offering plates and direct the congregation through communion. Ushers have responsibility for a quick "straightening" of the sanctuary. A complete usher's training manual is available.  Sign up for a Sunday here. 

Help distribute Holy Communion together with the Council Representative and the Pastor.  The assistant will give the wine or bread saying to each person communing "The blood of Christ shed for you" or "The body of Christ given for you". Sign up for a Sunday here. 

Read 1st and/or 2nd lesson(s) during worship service.  Lessons are available prior to Sunday to allow for preparation before assigned service. Sign up for a Sunday here. 

Arrive 30 minutes prior to start of worship to open doors and greet members and guests as they arrive for service. Sign up for a Sunday here. 

Arrive 20-30 minutes before the start of service. Soundboard assistants adjust sound levels throughout the service, advance slides during worship, and ring the bell at the beginning of service. Livestream assistants control and monitor the camera angles throughout the service. They may also assist in setting up livestream equipment when the Music Director is not available.
