Thank you! To date, 77 LOC households have made a financial pledge for support of our 2025 mission and ministry! This total is $377,618. These commitments enable us to take confident steps into this new year. Pledge commitments also help each of us as individual members and households to prioritize what is important to us -- being intentionally generous and having a plan for our giving. Scripture says it well: "Each one should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7.
If you haven't as yet made a pledge, consider these as some good reasons to do so:
Strengthening our Church’s Mission. A financial pledge directly supports LOC's work in fulfilling our mission, enabling ministries that serve both the congregation and the wider community. Your commitment helps ensure that worship, outreach, and discipleship efforts can thrive.
Planning for the Future. Pledges provide us with a clearer financial picture, allowing leadership to plan effectively for ministry initiatives, staffing, and facility needs. Your pledge helps create a stable and responsible budget.
Faith in Action. Giving is an act of faith and gratitude, reflecting trust in God’s provision and commitment to stewardship. By pledging, we all actively participate in God’s work and demonstrate our belief in the church’s mission.
Building Community. When members pledge together, it fosters a sense of shared responsibility and unity, strengthening the bonds within our church family and showing that everyone has a role in sustaining and growing our church’s ministry.
Multiplying Generosity. Your pledge inspires others to give. As more members commit to financial stewardship, our collective impact grows, allowing us to expand our reach and deepen the church's impact on lives through worship, service, and outreach.
Pledge cards can be found in the pews. And online pledge forms are at this link. Your generosity is a blessing. Thank you!
