Mental Health Adult Support Group
The Light of Christ's Healing and Wholeness Ministry is starting our first support group. We welcome anyone who loves a friend or family member who is affected by mental illness. Our desire is to provide spiritual and emotional support for one another, by offering hope, resources and prayer. This will be a safe place to share our challenges and talk about how our faith in Christ can help us cope and take care of ourselves and our loved one. We will start at 7pm and end by 8:30, meeting in the church library following Covid-19 guidelines which means masks and social distancing. We prefer to meet in-person unless science dictates that is no longer safe. You may bring your own tea or coffee. This group will be led by Lona Jose and Sue Fink. Lona's career has been working with persons receiving mental health services, and Sue is a retired RN; both have family members they care and advocate for in their struggles with mental illness. You do not have to be alone in this journey. Let's share our struggles and invite God's healing touch! Please join us.
